JXD 509G Technological Features

JXD 509G quadcopter has built-in 6-Axis gyro, and 2.4G technology to adopt for anti-interference. The 5.8G Real-time 2MP camera image transmission enables players to share videos and photos to the LCD display anytime anywhere. Also the drone is designed based on wind resistance and 3D roll feature. Like many other middle-level quadcopters, JXD 509G has headless mode and built-in height setting function.

Overall, a great drone for RC beginners, but you need to practice a bit if you don't have any RC drone experiences. Just press the start/stop button on the transmitter and once the drone is up in the air simply let go of the throttle lever and the drone will immediately start to hover.  If you want to come down the drone then press the start/stop button again and the motor speed will gradually decrease so drone can land softly with minimum bounce. JXD 509G is a good quadcopter with the ability to maintain altitude well. Hovering was automated and very steady. Body design is firm, so no worry about a number of crashes. The air pressure sensor allows the drone to hover at a set height, and works good in outdoor windy days. One more advice is don't forget to calibrate the drone every time before flight putting the two sticks low and centered. 

Its FPV signal is strong, but I think camera resolution could be better, but for the price, the camera is good. In the package box a 4GB memory card is included but you better to buy more cards just in case.The flight time is around 8 minutes for a single battery charge, which is a bit shorter than that of Syma X5 series, so my advice is to buy more additional batteries. 

The remote controller is based on 4-channel mode that is very easy to use.Unlike many other entry or middle level drones, every function key, like flight speed, one-key return, headless mode and so on, of the transmitter has the corresponding function which is clearly marked. You need four AA type batteries to use the remote controller.

Skytech TK110HW Unpacking

The Skytech 110HW has surprising good looks, and it is among the top toy-grade drones I have tested so far. TK110HW is also very small in size, so it can be neatly held in one hand. It is also convenient for me to put it in my backpack. And for its price is not high for entry-level quadcopters. The drone is stretched in two directions, and you can see a small window through its package box. The package includes some useful accessories such as the propellers replacements, charging cable, screwdriver, remote control, phone holder and the user manual. You do not get anything extra, since it includes everything that is necessary for flight. Overall the drone is compact design.

 

Skytech TK110HW Test Fly

The drone is based on the concept of portability and Foldable, which just like DJI Mavic etc. The arms and legs of Skytech TK110HW can be folded up roughly half the width and height of the machine is reduced. And you need to download mobile application before you fly it. The overall downloading and setting-up process is easy.The drone has a standard WiFi system and is very stable to fly when I controlled it in my garden. 

Compared to other drones I have tested, like the X600 MJX, I found this SkyTech is more stable during flights. Also the Tech110HW has a height-holding function which is easy to operate. The two-speed mode setting is suitable for RC drone beginners. The battery is placed at the bottom of its main body, and you need a 850mAh type for the drone. 

Skytech TK110HW Transmitter

For me the overall body design of the remote controller is average, and you need four AA batteries to operate. The controller works well in far remote distance. You can clearly see the buttons for some features like the headless mode or automatic landing. It is easy for me to insert my mobile on the holder of the transmitter and to use it as a FPV graph transaction. Be sure you have switched on the drone before fly it. Unluckily the drone system is not applicable with Android 6.0, but works great for Android 5.0. When loaded, you get a full-featured remote controller, and it is easier to operate because every function is controlled by a separate symbol. The gravity feature brings me great fun. The camera resolution of Skytech 110HW is 0.3 MP so not so clear as some other expensive 2MP drones like the Syma X8 series.

JJRC H31 Technological Features

The most important part for JJRC H31 differs from many other entry-level drones is its waterproof function, and actually, the mode is also dustproof. The body material is special, and recently I just checked a test video from JJRC supplier, the gay in the video threw the drone straightly at the cement floor and nothing happeded. This quadcopter has one key return functions like most of the RC entry-level quadcopters. Its gyro system is based on built-in 6 axis stabilizer. Also the drone got a 360-degree version for players to explore different directions during flights. For me, one of the most featured feature is its LED lights so easy for me fly during nights. Some other functions included the headless mode and over-charged protection. 

JJRC H31 Hands on Testing

For the first impression, I felt the H31 drone is very lightweight when I picked it out of the package box. Also I got a pair of free sunglassess from the package :)  Its binding takes around two seconds and is easy to control. The LED function is great and help with orientation day or night. The controller is very easy to operate for RC drone beginners. And I also got a lot help from the user manual in the package box. For outdoor fly test in low windy days, my JJRC H31 hovers overall good, stable and smooth. 

One additional battery is not enough for me so I got a second one. In low speed mode the headless mode works also good. Its controls are very responsive when I switch from low to high speed mode. When you are charging the drone, just make sure you have fully pluged in the power. Again, the drone is very strong, so its ok if you were a drone beginners and want to practice your skills. Also, it is no problem to fly in rainy days, but you need to be aware the battery part is NOT waterproof. One of the weak points I can think out is the H31 mode does not have any altitude holding function so you might have some bumps or bruises during your flights.
